 Hold three cards in dealing position in the right hand.  |
| Push the top card to left with the thumb. |
| Move the hand to the tabletop. |
| The fingers are extended, the backs of the fingers resting on the tabletop. |
| Allow the long edge of the extended card to touch the tabletop. |
| Move the thumb from the extended card to the other cards. |
| Hold the other cards by pressing down with the thumb. |
| Move the hand to the right allowing the extended card to fall to the table. |
| Coin Pickup and Place Drill |
| Place a coin on a soft close-up pad. |
| Hold the right hand palm up without cards. |
| Place the back of the hand on top of the coin spreading the middle two fingers. |
| The back of the third finger presses against the coin edge closest you. |
| The coin is levered up. |
| Do not pick up the coin at this point. |
| Move the hand to the right and pick up the coin. |
| Now move the hand back toward the close-up pad. |
