The thumb of the right hand slides the top card to the left. The hand |
| moves toward the coin and the extended card covers the coin. The left long edge of the |
card touches the top of the table. The fingers under the card extend and the |
| back of the third finger presses the edge of the coin nearest your body. The coin, |
pressed by the third finger levers upward but does not get picked up at this |
| point. The thumb releases the top card and moves to the right to press the other two |
cards against the first finger. Then two things happen at the same time. The |
| hand moves to the right and the fingers under the card curl picking up the coin. |
| Since the thumb is holding the two cards against the finger, they move to the right as |
the hand moves in that direction. The single card falls downward over the spot |
| where the coin should be. As the fingers are curled, the coin under the two cards |
| remains out of view of the audience. This picture shows the fingers curled, holding the |
coin. |
