It is not a bad move. However, viewing the
clip suggests the card pulled back should be
pulled back more than shown so the
audience does not see the card that is
supposed to be hidden.

Face Down Spread Slip Back
This move is the same as the previous
except the card is slipped back while the
spread is held in the hands. Doing so is a
lot easier.
