I had performed version two for many years until the day Bill Larsen took pictures to
put “Coins-n-Cards” into “Genii” magazine. That day, version three
came into existence. They were minor issues but have become significant over the
years. Using the finger clip vanish to cause the first coin to disappear was dropped to
be replaced with a Schneider Pickup Move. The other issue was applying the name
Then the routine consisted of covering the coins with the four cards moving the lower
right coin to the upper left position. The two cards with single coins under them were
raised and replaced lining the edges of the cards with the edges of the coins in
preperation for the Schneider Pickup move. Then that move was executed at the lower
left causing the coin there to apparently travel to the upper left. The move was
executed again to cause the coin at the upper right to apparently travel to the upper
right. Finally, the last two cards were raised to show the coin at the lower right
traveled to the upper left.
One of the criticisms commonly aimed at this version was that after the placement of
the cards on the coins in the first phase, two of the cards would be raised from the table
